About Jabulani's dogs: My goal as a breeder has been to develop a "type" of Rhodesian Ridgeback that not only fits the breed standard (which I've included on my "About the Breed" page), but also depicts the uniqueness of Jabulani. I have made an effort to build upon the great kennel histories of the past by continuing to use high quality pedigrees with each new generation. Our original "home" kennel, Freland, has provided my line with elegance, health, temperament, beauty, type, size and a great legacy to build on with over 60 champions and 30 years of great breeding of top Rhodesian Ridgebacks. I thank them!

Jabulani has a heavier-boned Rhodesian Ridgeback with males
(Dante on the left) having a larger,
broader head piece than most other kennels. The female’s heads
(Mshanga
on the right) are substantial, but
feminine with strength. Both genders have a rear assembly that is strong and
powerful with the appearance being one of strength and endurance. I consider my
kennel "type" to be more of a "hunting" type.
